BUILD-A-BIKE (BASIC BICYCLE MECHANICS)

Ages 12-16  |  8:30am - 3pm  |  $350

A bicycle doesn’t seem like a simple machine, but with a few tricks and some common tools, you can fix and build your own! Join Waldorf bicycle enthusiast (and String Teacher) Elias ‘Mr. G’ Gross for a hands-on journey through basic bicycle mechanics. Students will learn how to strip a bicycle down to its component parts and build a working bicycle from the frame up. Students will learn how to use common bicycle tools safely and will learn how to diagnose common bicycle problems. Students will test out their new bikes on campus at the end of camp and can choose to keep or donate their finished project.

BASKETBALL DRIBBLING & SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Ages 10 - 15  |  8:30am - 3pm  |  $330

Campers don't have to take themselves too seriously in order to benefit from this skills camp — we will still have lots of fun! They will enjoy working hard and challenging their existing self-beliefs in order to improve their skills. Coach Davis’s camp will focus on dribbling skills, in-game moves, and basketball IQ awareness. A great camp for those who are looking to improve their overall skill of the game of basketball while making some new friends. Each day we will track the progress of each camper so they can have an overall understanding of how they can continue to grow. Certificates will be given to each participant at the end of the camp.

DANCE & CRAFTS CAMP

Ages 7 - 10  |  8:30am - 3pm  |  $330

Campers will experience the joy of dance while learning choreography and exploring various styles of dance such as contemporary, lyrical, ballet, and jazz. Each day campers will also enjoy working on a craft. Campers do not need to have previous dance experience. Please come dressed comfortably for dancing and bring the following items:

  • Yoga mat

  • Water bottle

  • Healthy snack and lunch

  • Sunscreen and hat

LaShawnda Holman is a class teacher at Emerson Waldorf School. She is excited to share her love for dance and the performing arts with campers this summer!

Atula Jones has had a life-long passion for the arts. She had a career in the world of fashion before she began teaching art classes to children.
