  • What accomplishment are you most proud of? I am most proud of my junior internship at the INDY newspaper, the opportunity to attend the New York Times Summer Academy, and my freelance journalism senior project. Each of those opportunities was made possible by my experience at EWS and the many mentors the school has given me. I would not have the same experience, skill, and confidence in my work without my Waldorf education.

  • When did you start at EWS? I started at EWS in kindergarten.

  • Senior Project: researched and learned shorthand stenography

  • College Commitment: NC State University

  • What accomplishment are you most proud of? I’m most proud of setting up and participating in an exchange to France.

  • Piano Piece: I took piano lessons for a year in second grade. After that, I stopped playing until high school when I picked it up again on my own for fun. I chose to start learning Liebestraum No. 3 (by Franz Liszt) because it's beautiful and Un Sospiro was too hard. So far I've learned about 3 pages. Liebestraum is still a bit above my skill level, so you can hear me struggle with tempo sometimes, but we'll just call that rubato.
